25th International Wood Construction Forum (IHF)
December 4 to 6, 2019
Innsbruck Congress Centre, Austria
The profession at the service of the profession
The International Wood Construction Forum (IHF 2019) is aimed at wood builders, engineering designers and architects and provides them with an opportunity to compare the feedback, achievements and objectives associated with the choice of load-bearing wood structures. At the same time, the Forum is aimed at designers, public contracting authorities in charge of construction work, wood builders and craftsmen, professionals in practice as well as trainers, to enable them to exchange and learn in a comprehensive way.
Speech by Jean-Luc SANDOZ, the leader of the CBS-LIFTEAM group on the subject of supporting structures
The versatility of wood is reflected in architectural achievements around the world. New assembly techniques and new material combinations stimulate new applications. A selection of emblematic works of international scope is combined with an overview of the different possibilities of using wood and derived materials in combination with complementary materials, illustrating modern timber construction.
Jean-Luc Sandoz will present all the high-rise buildings in France with a focus on the Palazzo, an R+9 office building in Nice.
