The press conference for the 10th International Wood Construction Forum was held on Tuesday, June 1 in the Eiffel Room of the Grand Palais Ephémère, which overlooks the Champ-de-Mars.

 

On the program of the interventions:

• After the welcome by Chris Dercon, President of the RMN-Grand Palais, Jean-Michel Wilmotte, Architect of the Grand Palais Ephémère presented the genesis of his project, the Grand Palais Ephémère, followed by Frank Mathis, CEO of Mathis and President-Founder of ADIVBois who completed his remarks.

• Paul Jarquin, President of FIBois Île-de-France shared the results of a new study on biosourced wood construction in Île-de-France; the FBC 2021 visit program, a mapping of IDF biosourced wood architectural operations and the exhibition on the 2nd edition of the Biosourced Wood Booster that will be presented at FBC 2021.

• Nicole Valkyser-Bergmann, organizer of the International Wood Construction Forum, presented the Forum and its challenges, the program of conferences, workshops and key events, the new features of this edition as well as the 100% wood scenography of the Forum created by the Pavillon de l'Arsenal, which includes :

_ The Notre-Dame de Paris Exhibition, the art of carpentry as well as the ADIVBois Space, press and lounge Les Canaux, as announced by Marie-Cécile Pinson, MyWoodenLife ;

_ An Ephemeral Auditorium in curved Douglas Fir CLT, created especially for the occasion, which will host the plenary session, presented by Steven Ware, Partner Architect of ArtBuild and Jean-Luc Sandoz, CEO of the CBS-Lifteam group and sponsor of the Forum.

_ The common space "Filière Bois" which was presented by Sarah Laroussi, General Director of the CNDB and co-organizer of the Forum.

_ Anna Mogensen, Development Manager of Gingko 21 and Nicolas Jobin, Communication Manager of the Coopératives Forestières ended this rich presentation by explaining the eco-designed approach of the FBC 2021.
