Architectural Follies Pavilion for the Paris 2024 Olympics
The 20 national schools of architecture and landscape design have been invited to design and build pavilions in the Parc de la Villette, which will host the sports federations during the Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games next year.
The entire set of pavilions will have to be integrated into the framework created by the architect Bernard Tschumi and establish an architectural dialogue with the "folies" of the Parc de la Villette. This ambitious and partnership-based project is led by the Ministry of Culture and involves the public establishment of the park and the Grande halle de La Villette (EPPGHV), the French National Olympic and Sports Committee (CNOSF) and Paris 2024 - Organizing Committee for the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
On this occasion, undergraduate and graduate students from the Ensa-PB have designed an ephemeral pavilion project in partnership with the FFA - French Athletics Federation.
