The history of the founder Jean-Luc Sandoz is atypical, professor at the EPFL of Lausanne with the illustrious Natterer, depositing patents then leaving the teaching and setting up the Savoyard factory Ecotim to manufacture the patented systems. Ecotim is apparently victim of a fire after which the CBS-CBT company is locally disqualified, which leads him to create a wood construction company in the Paris region, Lifteam. But Ecotim has to be rebuilt and it is precisely Lifteam which takes care of it, in 2011, in all building trades.
In Paris, on the other hand, Lifteam quickly came up against the disadvantages of subcontracting and dreamed of becoming independent. The Ecotim site leads locally to others which are also managed in TCE (Espace Ardez-Alba). Progressively, CBS-Lifteam gets used to manage the building sites in this way.
Since then, more than ten building sites have been handled in this way: social housing in Garges-les-Gonesse, housing in Chanteloup-en-Brie, Villiers-sur-Marne, Montreuil and currently in Paris, offices in Nanterre, a gymnasium in Rueil-Malmaison, a high school extension in Chevilly-Larue.
This means, for example, for the 62 housing units for Terralia in Chanteloup-en-Brie, a design-build project with Lifteam's services including the design, supply and installation of wood-frame walls, O'portune® slab floors, roofing (frame and roofing) and balconies. But also, the management of the intervention of all the other trades.
