Nondestructive technology for in-field wood poles
POLUX is a nondestructive technology especially designed for in-field wood poles.
As the reference on the market, POLUX guaranties an optimal safety level together with a low rate of poles to be useless replaced.
Linked to a handheld with PICUS software, POLUX can evaluate :
• The residual strength of an in-field pole
• The date for the next inspection
• The load index of the pole
Thanks to objective recorded values, it’s possible to adjust the inspections cycles according to the customers’ expectations.
Ideal tool for the preventive maintenance of the overhead lines, POLUX can be used in two parallel but complementary aims :
• The periodic inspection
• The inspection before pole’s climbing
POLUX PRNCIPLE :
NEW :
In 2016, CBS-CBT has launched the new generation of Polux devices: POLUX 5.
With outstanding egonomics features - ONLY 2.8 kg - POLUX 5 can measure poles very easily with an objective and scientific approach.
Fully automated, POLUX 5 can measure below the ground line level for an optimized result.
POLUX 5 records the wood density profile together with the moisture content to evaluate any risk of biodegradation process.
POLUX has received many international awards by winning for example the 1st place in comparative field tests tools but also, in 2003, by receiving the award for the best Innovation of the year category Energy and Environment granted by the Wall Street Journal Europe.

PICUS SOFTWARE
PICUS software has been especially developped for in-field data collection.
CBS-CBT engineers ensure a full software customisation as well as a full compatibility with the customer's database.
Picus is proposed for Android and Windows platforms.
